FULL TILT POKER FORMER EMPLOYEE ANSWERS PLAYER QUESTIONS (Update)

In the latest development in the FTP saga, a recently retrenched employee shares information

The respected twoplustwo poker information portal and forum lit up with a 23-plus page thread Thursday when a recently retrenched employee from the Dublin office of the troubled Full Tilt Poker group offered to answer any questions, denying any underhand motive.

The thread can be accessed here: twoplustwo/29/news-views-gossip/ftp-employees-answer-questions-1116371/ but is too long to record in detail as the poster "Any Questions" - apparently retrenched with 180 others last week (see previous reports) - made him or herself available.

The intense interest in all things FTP was immediately apparent as players fired off questions on a large range of issues with the company.

Asked what the staff has been doing since operations stalled, "Any Questions" confirmed recent reports that: "Most just sat around till it was home time. Watching movies on phones and browsing 2+2 for updates."

"Any Questions" observed that when things were going well at FTP the staff enjoyed a congenial working environment: "Working conditions when I began were fantastic. 2nd to none. Full lunch service for.10c. Sweet and crisps all over the place. It was only after BF that we lost all these things one by one (without notice btw)"

Apparently the retrenched employees were given standard lay-off packages prescribed by Irish law, and suggestions by some posters regarding sight of hole cards and cheating software were emphatically denied.

"There's no such thing as seeing hole cards," wrote "Any Questions", who privately verified his involvement with FTP via the twoplustwo moderator. "Only in a hand replayer which was way behind live time."

"There was definitely a lot of players with sizeable balances [when the site shut down] the former employee wrote in answer to another question.

Asked whether there was a re-launch planned for the site [presumably if taken over by Groupe Bernard Tapie], "Any Questions answered: "Yes there is a relaunch scheme in place. Doubt details will be released any time soon but there is incentives for current players to keep playing and big bonuses for new customers."

Apparently access within the Pocket Kings building was moderate, with little fear of a physical attack by an aggrieved player: "The only security in place was a swipe card which you needed to access every part of Pocket Kings," the former employee wrote. "No sense of fear at all for some raging lunatic to come bashing down the door looking for money."

Security and privacy of player information was apparently restricted to employees with access to the company's web administration tool, who could view player accounts if necessary.

One answer may cheer up unpaid players: "The likelihood of people being paid is quite high imo. It's just a matter of time." And for those with a slew of FTP points: "There is a new bonus being revised at the moment that will allow you to buy ring game tokens with your FTPs."
