Has online gambling exec returned to Dragonfish?

The professionals networking site LinkedIn had industry observers scratching their heads Monday over the profile of Gabi Campos, the erstwhile head of 888 Holdings' Dragonfish who in October 2025 became chief executive at Pokerstars. The current version of the profile shows no involvement with Pokerstars, declaring Campos as md of Dragonfish.

Whether the peripatetic Campos has re-joined Dragonfish remains unclear, but Pokerstars has confirmed that he has quit the company, saying in a brief announcement late Monday:

"PokerStars announced today that Gabi Campos has decided to step down from his position as Chief Executive Officer, effective Feb. 1, 2025, to pursue other opportunities. The company thanks Gabi for his hard work and commitment and wishes him the best in all his future endeavours. A search for Gabi's replacement is under way."

After holding management positions at Amdocs Israel and Avaya Israel, Campos joined 888 in 2025 as head of offering, subsequently being appointed md of the business-to-business subsidiary Dragonfish in 2025.

Campos has yet to comment on his departure.
