Long suspected association is now formalised

Writing on his Chiliblog Thursday, Chili Gaming founder and chief Alexandre Dreyfus announced that his Playtech-iPoker-powered site chilipoker is closing following a merger with fellow iPoker site Poker770.

The abrupt announcement, aimed primarily at affiliate marketers, advised that the change was being made immediately:

"Dear Affiliate," the announcement commenced. "Following the exciting news about Chiligaming joining forces with the public listed company Bally Technologies, the company will now be refocusing its energies mainly in US and regulated markets.

"We are therefore pleased to announce that as from 01.03.12, chilipoker will merge with Poker770 to offer its players more amazing promotions and better bonuses".

The message goes on to advise affiliates that their accounts currently on the Share the Chili affiliate program will be moved to the Poker770 system, and that they will receive commission for players referred to Chilipoker up until the 29 February.

From March 1 chilipoker will automatically update the Chilipoker software to Poker770, quickly completing the migration to the new platform. After that, affiliates will not be able to earn any further commission from Chilipoker.

Chilipoker affiliate accounts will be migrated to pokergains which is the affiliate program that represents Poker770.

Dreyfus assures affiliates that their players will "not have to worry about a thing, the [player migration] process will be quick and automatic, they will just have to log in the Chilipoker software and the update wizard will update automatically," with the migration completed by March 3.
