MORE TURBO-DRIVEN POKER ON THE WAY?

Source: bluffed.netGrowing number of operators are considering this popular innovation Full Tilt Poker started it with the Rush Poker concept, and Pokerstars has recently made moves into this popular style of poker with Zoom now it appears that other major brands are considering offering their own variations. The basic concept is for a player to immediately be whisked off to a fresh table when he or she folds a hand, speeding up the game significantly and catering for players with a penchant for faster action. The idea caught on fast and is now reportedly much in demand. This week the usually well-informed poker information site PokerUpdate reported that Pokerstars could have some competition in the not-too-distant future, with 24hrPoker on the IGT/Entraction network preparing to launch its as yet unnamed Flash technology version and plans for expansion to other sites. Also active in this area is Per Hildebrand's InstaDeal network, which launched its Terminal Poker version of speed poker eighteen months back (see previous reports). In a competitive field like online poker if you snooze you lose, and it is likely that other software providers and operators will be joining the Rush.
