2025 tour takes in six legs

Online betting group Betfair's latest sponsorship, for the European Backgammon Tour, is attracting attention as an alternative for poker players looking for variety and a chance to expand their skills.

Widely acknowledged as the world's oldest board game, backgammon has in recent times enjoyed a resurgence of popularity both live and online, with pundits explaining that poker heads up specialists are particularly well suited to the ancient game, which has a similar skill set and is always played between two players, with rewards for aggressive play and a solid understanding of odds.

This year's Betfair European Backgammon Tour takes in six legs across Europe's main backgammon destinations, and players can win Euro 650 seats in the main event by taking part in online qualifiers. Daily super satellites are running at Betfair now, with full details of the qualifying structure and tour dates available at Betfair Backgammon.
