Winamax is now promoting its free-to-play offering to American punters

The successful French (although blacklisted in Belgium) online poker operator Winamax appears to be positioning itself for a legalised US market, promoting the availability to US players of its free-play tournaments and ring games this week.

The company will reportedly be augmenting this with a complementary social poker product on Facebook soon.

So far there has been no indication that Winamax has teamed up with a US partner, widely regarded as critical to success in any liberalised US market, but the indications are certainly present that the French company is determined not to let any American opportunities pass it by.
