Source: bluffed.netPlayer wins a seat in the Big One for One Drop tournament A million dollar sponsored seat in poker's most expensive poker tournament, the World Series of Poker Big One for One Drop (see previous reports) has been won by a Montreal player competing with 57 others in the $25,000 Grand Tournoi de Poker Loto-Quebec satellite tournament. The winner, Carlos Nahas, was playing courtesy of a friend, who won the satellite buy-in on a slot machine promo, but doesn't play poker. One Drop charity and Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté, accompanied by Caesars Interactive Entertainment CEO Mitch Garber, watched an impressive field that included aces like Mike McDonald, Scott Montgomery and Laurence Grondin play in the tournament, which came down to a six-hour heads up between Nahas and JC Ferreira. Nahas will play for literally millions in July when the Big One for One Drop takes place as part of the World Series of Poker calendar, with a sizeable portion of the one million dollars each player pays to enter the competition going to solve water crises in third world countries. Over 30 players have already committed to the massive buy-in. Poker News index » PKR GOES SOCIAL WITH WORLD SERIES OF POKER FANTASY APP24th May, 2025 at 10:17:38
