Jackie Glazier, a poker player from Downunder, gave a good account of herself in the World Series of Poker event 41 - $3,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em this week, becoming the tenth woman to make a WSOP final table this series and almost beating former Calvin Kline underwear model and policeman-turned-poker-pro Greg Ostrander in the heads up.

Glazier appeared to be dominating with a 3 to 1 chip lead when the two agreed an overnight break in their tough heads up. But when they returned to the felt it was Ostrander's talent and good cards that denied her the bracelet and the $742,072 main prize claimed by the Rochester, New York pro.

The duo had survived a torrid three day competition in which 1,394 players registered, finally whittling down to a final table that included Paul Vas Nunes, Morten Mortensen, Roger Fontes, Darryl Ronconi, Joseph Chaplin, Kyle Frey and Dylan Hortin.

Paul Vas Nunes set the scene for the heads up when he was ousted in third place for $290,407, and the two survivors battled on late into Sunday night before a mutually agreed overnight break was taken.

When they returned the next day, Glazier played well but seemed unable to gain the same sort of traction she had previously enjoyed, and Ostrander managed to eliminate her.

In collecting her second placing prize of $458,996, Glazier joined Amanda Musumeci and Patricia Baker, the other female runners-up in this series thus far (see previous reports).
