POKERSTARS BUYS STAKE IN THE HIPPODROME?

According to an article in The UK Sunday Times, PokerStars has bought a stake in London 's terrestrial casino The Hippodrome.
The stake is reported to be a minority share in the Thomas family-owned venue, both percentage and consideration were undisclosed.
Bingo entrepreneurs, Father and son team, Jimmy and Simon Thomas invested £ 40 Million on the acquisition and subsequent re-modeling of the iconic venue. The duo sold Beacon Bingo in 2025 for £ 80 Million, formed United Leisure Gaming Ltd and developed The Hippodrome as a casino venue, taking the building back to its original design and use as a casino which is now estimated to be worth in the region of £ 100 Million.
The building houses "The Top Deck" poker room and offers 24/7 cash poker games.
