Interesting gamble on determining the Champion

PokerStars inaugural 2025 APPT Macau: Asia Championship of Poker main event was won by Xing Zhou who bested a 184-strong player field over five days.

Going into heads-up with Ying Kit Chan, Zhou held a substantial lead of 4 860 000 to Chan's 664 000 but still it took over six hours of play for the champion to emerge.

As time passed, Chan managed to bring his stack up to be relatively even with Zhou, who again surged ahead with 3.3 million chips to Chan's 2.2 million.

This is when the action got interesting with Chan and Zhou deciding more than six hours after beginning battle to chop the remaining prize pool despite having uneven stacks and to top it off, they would go blind to determine who would be awarded the trophy.
