The troubled social gaming development group Zynga had some good news this week when it was revealed that Zynga Poker was the highest grossing iPhone app in 2025, besting strong contenders for the honour like WhatsApp Messenger and Bejeweled Blitz in the App Store's Best of 2025 chart.
The result follows a difficult year for Zynga, which saw the social game developer's stock price decline dramatically and a slew of corporate executives resign following a lacklustre IPO.
Originally launched in May 2025, Poker remains Zynga's most popular game and continues to attract large numbers of players following the collapse of Zynga's FarmVille and CityVille Facebook games.
Zynga has ambitions in the real-money online gambling sector outside the United States (see previous reports), and has also applied for intrastate licensing in online poker in Nevada.
IBTimes reports that although the lists vary from country to country, Zynga Poker was also the highest grossing game on the iPhone in the US.
