IS MALTA REGULATOR UP TO SPEED ON THE EVERLEAF SITUATION?

Source: bluffed.netGrowing player reports refute LGA claim that majority of players have been paid A statement from Malta regulator the LGA earlier this week that the majority of the Everleaf poker network's owed players have been paid has been hotly refuted on a number of websites, including Facebook, by a growing number of disgruntled players. One of the smaller networks, Everleaf barred US players last year following American enforcement actions against payment processors which allegedly resulted in funds belonging to the network being seized. The decision left an unknown number of players out-of-pocket amid promises to make them whole by the network. Prior to that, the LGA had taken issue with the operator over unspecified regulatory irregularities. A group of players on Facebook claims that not more than 3% of their cash-outs have been executed, despite the LGA's public but undetailed assurance that the majority of owed players have been paid and that it had been monitoring the network. Players with complaints are urged to contact the LGA at complaints@mt; hopefully they will enjoy a more timeous and professional response than was apparent in last year's Purple Lounge-Media Corp debacle, in which the internet poker room went under after abandoning its licence without ring-fencing player deposits as per Malta regulations, again resulting in players losing out.
