Latest software update shows maximum stakes have been lowered

Several online poker information and forum sites are currently speculating on the reasons behind an apparently unannounced reduction in the high stakes limits on the virtual tables on Merge Poker Network skins.

The changes were apparently quietly introduced during recent software updates and effect a wide range of games.

Other poker operators have made similar moves in the past, rationalising their changes by saying that these improved the playing environment for recreational players by lowering the possibility that they might exhaust their bankrolls too quickly, usually playing against more skilled and experienced 'shark' experts.
