Strobe is a flashy enough name

Amaya Gaming's online poker network and software subsidiary, Ongame is making the headlines across a wide range of international poker information websites with what appears to be the soft launch of a new fast-fold poker variant branded Strobe Poker.

Most of the reports note that the new offering has been discreetly introduced across the company's general dotcom network this week, and that at least two no-limit tournaments appear to be running.

According to the independent online poker monitor Pokerscout, the network has a number of skins, led by major names like Betfair, Betsson, Betsafe, Goalwin, EuroPoker, Paf and CasinoEuro.

Initial reports indicate that the new five-handed tables offering has been warmly received and is generating encouraging punter action, with speculation growing that the current low stakes available will be beefed up in the near future by the network.

When went to press there had not yet been an official launch release by Amaya.
