French online poker players now have access to the dedicated iPoker.fr network following Unibet's switch from Ongame.

The launch marks an extension of the existing relationship with Playtech beyond Unibet's current games offering and further strengthens the ties between the two groups, a company spokesman said Tuesday.

Playtech boasts that the iPoker network is the largest in the French dedicated online poker market.

Danny Frishman, Playtech's vice president commercial, commented, "We are delighted that Unibet has chosen to move forward with our poker product in France. Following Playtech's successful recent launches in France, it is clear that ipoker is becoming the network of choice among operators in the region that would like to enjoy not only a best of breed, fully compliant offering but also the largest networked liquidity pool in France."
