The International Stadium Poker Tournament initiative of French founders Laurent Tapie and Prosper Masquelier-Partouche was given another significant boost in credibility this week with the revelation that the UK land and online gambling group Genting has given its support to the inaugural ISPT tournament at Wembley later this year.
The news was first posted on an ISPT-accredited forum by Dusk Til Dawn poker chief Rob Yong, who earlier this month committed his company and a million dollar sponsorship to the ISPT (see previous reports).
Yong revealed that Genting's involvement will enable the initiative to access many more poker players through advertising, promotions and live satellites at Genting properties.
He said that DTD's poker director, Simon Trumper, and he would be visiting Genting cardrooms to brief staff on the concept and its implementation.
