The 23rd edition of one of online poker's most popular tournaments kicks off this Sunday

Following hard on the heels of the highly successful Micro Millions online poker tournament run by sister company Pokerstars (see previous reports), this week sees the launch of the 23rd edition of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS)

Kicking off on Sunday, the tournament runs through to August 18th and features 39 events, offering a wide range of game styles and buy-ins, all with generous prize pool guarantees.

This series will feature some innovative additions in the shape of 5-card Omaha, 6-card Omaha and Courcheval, with affordable buy-ins respectively of $215, $320 and $215.

The big money events are probably the High Roller NLHE competition, which has a buy-in of $2,100 and two re-buy opportunities, and the main event - also a NLHE affair - for which punters will have to pony up $635. The competition gives players re-buy chances and the chance to earn significant amounts from a prize pool guaranteed at $1.5 million.
