ARJEL numbers record a serious 21 percent decline.

Third quarter numbers from the French regulator ARJEL show a worrying further plunge in online poker revenues, which dropped 21 percent year-on-year after a 16 percent decline in the preceding quarter. That translates to a loss quantum of over a billion Euros compared with 2025 FY stats.

High profile poker pro takes down WSOPE High Roller event.

The high profile online and live tournament poker pro Daniel Negreanu had plenty of cause for celebration this week; in a historic announcement he was declared WSOP Player of the Year for a second time, and he won his sixth World Series of Poker bracelet in taking down the Euro 25,000 buy-in World Series of Poker High Roller event.
