PokerStars, established in the year 2000, is a stand-alone room using a unique proprietary software with very subtle and tasteful graphics. Poker Stars is currently the largest online poker room and is the only poker room offering a seperate Apple Mac compatible poker download. Much like Full Tilt (see our Full Tilt Poker review), PokerStars features their own pro players, among others Daniel 'KidPoker' Negreanu and former WSOP main event champions Greg 'Fossilman' Raymer, Chris Moneymaker and Joe Hachem. You can now take them all on to see who's the better player. Ahem!

Aside from this, the range of tournaments, freeroll tournaments and satellites is second to none - PokerStars also features a WSOP qualifier satellite event and if there is any tourney you want a crack at, it's probably to be found here!

PokerStars offers every type of game imaginable at every possible limit from $0.01/0.02 to several hundred dollar blinds Traffic is extremely high, from 50,000 players to over double that during peak hours. The NLHE section is the busiest with an amazing amount of tables to choose from no matter what limits you play. There are plenty of active tables for the Razz, Stud and Omaha player, again from as little as $0.01/0.02. 5CD and 2-7TD along with HORSE/HOSE tables are also found here, check the "Other Games" tab.

PokerStars poker bonus for new players is currently set at 100% up to $50. Not much in terms of money but it's relatively easy to clear. You will need to accumulate 10 Base Frequent Player Point (Base "FPPs") for every bonus dollar, gather 500 Base FPPs for the maximum $50.
