The Microgaming Poker Network ("MPN") is the re-branded term for the Prima Poker Network, a high traffic
network that is used by all Microgaming poker software licencees, of which there are plenty. One
of the strong points of Microgaming is that they have a reputation for being pretty strict on who
licences their software, not to mention pricey! For players that's a good thing for obvious reasons,
and the fact that it is the single most popular casino and poker software on the market also
means that the Poker network traffic is also very high, ensuring busy STTs and MTTs at all
times.
The busier stand-alone poker rooms aside (ie: PokerStars), the main competition to the MPN is the iPoker Network which also has a fair few licencees and is therefore also high traffic, although iPoker software (Playtech) does tend to be a tad heavier on system resources. Below, I have put together a selection of the better operators on the Microgaming Poker Network by which I mean that they pay promptly, offer good promotions and are generally among the most highly regarded. Microgaming also provides it's licencees with a flash poker room version of the software which is available to players at some poker sites - handy if you are on an Apple Mac or want an account where you can log in and play from any PC around the world. USA Players: Note that many MPN poker rooms don't take US players, and most of those that do exclude players from the States of Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington and Wisconsin where certain forms of online gambling are illegal. I have read that Intertops Poker and Casino may provide some solutions.

A Fortune Lounge poker room who are themselves owned by Carmen Media (again!). So basically big and bustling with a good reputation. Better for NL games and STTs and not so good for FL games. Takes US residents and is covered by the eCogra seal (player protection). Pokertime review » » Visit Pokertime »
