The European Poker Tour ("EPT") is contrary to opinion not a spin-off of the World Poker Tour
but a competing event, started in 2025 by the winner of the Poker Million, John Duthie, who can still
be heard commentating on the event on TV. Originally, the prize money and the buy-in fee for the
tournament was significantly less than the WPT, but this changed in 2025 when the buy-in was raised to
€8,000, putting it on a par with the $10k fee on the WPT. Although both events focus solely
on Texas Hold 'Em (unlike the World Series Of Poker which covers 50 different poker variants),
the European Poker Tour works it's way down to a final table of 8 players as opposed to 6 on the
WPT.
EPT qualifiers are held at a few online poker rooms (see below) but is sponsored by PokerStars. As is normal, most of the qualifying tournaments have a nominal buy-in fee and the ultimate winners win seats at the main EPT event. Quite a decent monetary saving if you're luck's in!
No EPT qualifiers currently scheduled. Grab the tournament toolbar to be notified when these are available.
Aside from actually sponsoring the European Poker Tour itself, PokerStars runs nearly all the WPT and EPT qualifiers, takes ePassporte Visa (USA take note) and has more poker tournaments, satellites and feeders than anywhere else. But It has own high-traffic network and is constantly busy, as are the feeders. Better for the more experienced poker player. PokerStars review » » Click here to visit the PokerStars site »
An excellent room on Playtech's busy iPoker Network running qualifiers to the EPT and the WPT Bahamas event. Like all iPoker sites, Titan doesn't accept USA players. Titan Poker review » » Visit the Titan Poker site »
One of the lesser known poker rooms but is still on the relatively busy Boss Media poker network and runs qualifiers for both the EPT and the WPT. 24h Poker review » » Visit 24h Poker Room »
A well known poker room - currently pretty trendy - and a high traffic proprietary network. Has lots of tournaments and qualifiers in fact, including the WSOCP and Aussie Millions, the WPT (obviously!) and the 1 Million Guaranteed. Maybe that's why it's so popular now! A very popular poker room on the Cryptologic Network with loads of qualifiers and satellites beside the EPT. Try out for the WPT, the GCSOP and the Caribbean Poker Classic and features the Pro View multi-table option running up to 12 tables simultaneously. Interpoker review » » Visit InterPoker »
Another, slightly lesser known but still busy, Cryptologic room running EPT and WPT feeders along with Crypto's Caribbean Poker Classic. What our reviewer called a bit of a "hidden gem". Parbet Poker review » » Visit Parbet Poker »
Bodog Poker runs on it's own poker room software and network and has less traffic than many other networks, so MTTs tend to be slow to populate, although still has a pretty strong base of loyal players. It has a popular online sportsbook and casino and offers a few WPT and WSOP qualifiers. Bodog Poker review » » Visit Bodog Poker » |
